Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 August 2026

I’m Michelle Haslam, a sole trader providing TikTok consultancy and training services.

This privacy policy explains what personal information I collect when you use this website, contact me, book a call or work with me, and what I do with it.

What information I collect

If you contact me by email, I’ll receive the information you choose to give me, such as your name, email address and anything you include in your message.

If you book a call or appointment with me through TidyCal, information you provide as part of that booking will be processed so that the booking can be arranged and managed.

If we have an online strategy or ongoing guidance call, the call may be transcribed. The transcript may include your name, anything you tell me during the call and information about your business or the client we’re discussing. I’ll let you know when transcription is being used.

My website is hosted by Squarespace. Like most websites, it may also collect technical information about visits to the site, such as information about your browser, device and how the website is used. Cookies may also be used. You can choose whether to allow non-essential cookies through the cookie banner on this website.

I don’t currently operate an email mailing list through this website, and I won’t add you to one simply because you contact me or book a call.

How I use your information

I use personal information where necessary to:

  • respond when you contact me;

  • arrange and manage calls, training or other services you enquire about or purchase;

  • communicate with you about work we’re doing together;

  • review and summarise our calls and help me prepare follow-up notes, actions and strategy;

  • run and maintain this website;

  • understand how the website is being used where you have permitted the relevant cookies; and

  • keep records where I’m legally required to do so.

I may use AI-assisted tools to help me summarise or analyse call transcripts and organise the information discussed. These tools support my work; they don’t make decisions about your business or determine the strategy or recommendations I give you. Those come from me.

Under UK data protection law, I need a lawful basis for using personal information. Depending on the circumstances, this will usually be because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract with you, to meet a legal obligation, because I have a legitimate business interest in running and protecting my business, or because you have given consent.

Who your information may be shared with

I don’t sell your personal information.

I use third-party services to run my website and business. These currently include Squarespace, which hosts this website, TidyCal, which I use for bookings, and software used for video calls, transcription and AI-assisted analysis.

Depending on the tools I’m using at the time, this may include services such as Zoom and AI providers used to help analyse or summarise call transcripts.

These providers may process personal information as part of providing their services to me. I take reasonable steps to use services and settings that are appropriate for handling business information and personal data.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards for international transfers will be used where required by data protection law.

I may also disclose information where I’m legally required to do so.

How long I keep information

I only keep personal information for as long as I reasonably need it for the purpose it was collected for, including providing services, dealing with enquiries and meeting any legal, tax, accounting or record-keeping obligations.

Different information may therefore be kept for different lengths of time.

Call transcripts

I keep call transcripts only for as long as I reasonably need them for the work we’re doing together, follow-up and appropriate business records.

I don’t use client call transcripts to create content for other clients or sell them to third parties.

Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information during calls unless it’s genuinely necessary for the work we’re doing.

Cookies and website analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the website to function, while others may help me understand how visitors use the site.

Non-essential cookies are restricted unless you choose to accept them through the cookie banner.

You can accept or decline non-essential cookies, manage individual cookie preferences, and change your preferences later using the Cookie Preferences option on the website.

You can find more information in my separate Cookie Policy.

Your rights

UK data protection law gives you various rights over your personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, these can include the right to:

  • ask for access to the personal information I hold about you;

  • ask me to correct inaccurate information;

  • ask for your personal information to be deleted;

  • ask me to restrict how your information is used;

  • object to certain uses of your information; and

  • receive certain personal information in a portable format.

Where I rely on your consent to use personal information, you can withdraw that consent.

You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances, including an absolute right to object to its use for direct marketing.

The exact rights available to you depend on the circumstances and the lawful basis under which your information is being processed.

To exercise any of these rights, contact me at:

If you have a concern about how I’ve handled your personal information, please contact me first at hello@michellehaslam.com so I can try to resolve it.

You also have the right to make a complaint to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

I may update this privacy policy if the way I use personal information changes.

The latest version will always be published on this page.
